Cranberry Sauce

Here’s a Thanksgiving tip. Generally, your turkey is not cooked enough if it passes you the cranberry sauce.

Cranberry Sauce is so easy it almost seems a little strange to post a recipe for it but for the sake of my Shredded Chicken with Cranberry Sauce recipe I feel its necessary to share mine. So here it goes.

1 12 oz package of whole cranberries

½ cup packed brown sugar

½ cup white sugar

½ cup oj or apple juice

1 tsp of cinnamon (optional)

Place all contents into a sauce pan and let it simmer stirring occasionally to make sure its mixed well. Cranberries will cook down and begin to open about 10-12 minutes. Take off the heat and let cool before serving. Sauce should thicken as it cools.
